Join us for an engaging two-day mini immersion designed to help you truly experience and embrace the essence of the Summer (Pitta) season. During the weekend, we will explore the transformative practice of nurturing movement, aimed at harmonizing the elemental forces of Fire and Water within our bodies. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in Lucinda’s myofascial and lymphatic drainage class on Saturday, followed by Maggie’s invigorating Move to Nourish session on Sunday.

We’ll guide you to connect with your body’s intelligence to heal and repair through somatic practices, allowing you to feel more alive and at home in your body.

What is pitta dosha?

Pitta represents the dynamic energy of change and transformation, and it is intrinsically linked to the element of fire. However, in the context of living beings, pitta manifests mostly in a liquid form, which is precisely why water is considered its secondary element. Pitta is not a fixed force; rather, it spreads throughout the body in a manner similar to how heat radiates from a fire or how water flows gracefully along the ground. This energy is closely connected to various aspects of intelligence, understanding, and the intricate process of digesting not only food but also thoughts, emotions, and various life experiences. Pitta plays a crucial role in regulating numerous vital functions, including nutrition, metabolism, body temperature, and overall awareness.

How does this play out in the workshops?

Lucinda’s session will lovingly soften and ground our inner fire, giving it a place to feel settled. Fascia provides the housing for the lymphatic system while lymph fluids feed and nourish the fascia. Working with the body's fascia and lymph systems helps to calm and hydrate us from within. Our tissues feel refreshed, and we benefit from a gentle cleanse of our body's natural detox system.

Maggie’s session will shift the focus towards fire through functional human movement to build strength and flow in the body. Dancing between fire and water, Move to Nourish is a celebration of resilience. This practice feels like a blend of yoga, pilates, primal movement, and functional fitness.

Registration Details

Saturday June 14th and Sunday June 15th from 8am-10am MST

  • In person & virtual live sessions

    • Lucinda will be hosting from Missoula, Montana on Saturday and Maggie will be hosting from Boulder, Colorado on Sunday

    • Local students may choose to practice in person for a session or remote for both. Remote students will practice virtually both days

    • Details for in person gatherings coming soon!

  • The weekend includes

    • One 2 hour session on Saturday and one 2 hour session on Sunday

    • Workshop supplies and gifts sent to each participant

    • Optional deeper learning between sessions

  • Please note

    • Register by Memorial Day to receive supplies on time

    • Recordings will be available after the weekend
